The Internet as Art
The desire for Internet art is increasing and is good news. As it becomes more of an important and time consuming part of everyone’s lives it is becoming more of a need or desire to collect all of this new art form. More curators are seeing a market for this kind of art and paying to own it. It is good news for the Internet artists that they are being taken more seriously and not seen as playing around on the web. Since it is a new way of art the way in which we view it and critique it is new and exciting as well. As technology moves faster and faster there must be a way to see it all and catalog it. There are many activists listed in this article that can help us get started on finding out who is taking action in this new art world.

This had some helpful tips for Internet art dummies. It defines this kind of through a list of what it is not and all of the misconceptions of this medium. I don’t think it is great to put things in boxes but for a general understanding it is helpful.

I like the first page and the mouse activated gif, but the link is lame and silly. It doesn’t make sense in congruence to the first page. It is a good reminder though to think about your posture.J

Very weird and interesting words flowing out in randomness and with various music and sound applied to them is a headache and at the same time entertaining. It gets boring though which I think is supposed to be the point?

It has this random cyclone feeling of links. Black and white bores me and then the endless linking to textual jargon gives me a feeling of nails on a chalkboard in an empty dark room…

I think this is a very humorous site but beyond the hilarity of it, it is ridiculous and stupid. These people are pathetic and lame and I am more laughing at them and their self-praising than the stupid degrading comments on all the pictures.
